Montana, of course, is famous for our population of Grizzly bears. What a thrill it is to see a live, wild grizzly in its natural habitat in the backcountry (from a safe few hundred yards distance!) or even as you're driving along a mountain road.


My Grizzly Espresso Steak Rub was created to bring out the special flavors of beef steak, roasts and even hamburgers. The espresso-ground coffee deepens and enhances the flavor of your grilled steak.

  • How Hot Is It?

    Everyone’s tastes and tolerances are different, so my products come in three varieties: 

    • My standard version of Grizzly Espresso Steak Rub contains no hot pepper. There might be a small amount of heat from the other ingredients (chili powder, etc), but it is quite mild and acceptable to all but the most sensitive folks.
    • If you prefer some heat, may I suggest my Grizzly Chipotle-Espresso Rub., It is the same recipe as my original Grizzly, but with the addition of Chipotle pepper powder, giving it heat and a more powerful flavor. Available in both Medium Spicy and HOT.
  • How Do I Use It?

    Generally speaking, rubs are shaken, patted or rubbed onto the meat at least an hour before smoking, grilling, or other methods of cooking your meat. For most meats, leaving your rub  to marinate on the meat for 2 - 12 hours brings your the best tasting results.
