Restaurent Style Grilled Steak

Steak Grilled with 406Spices

The aroma of a steak on the grill –especially in the winter! – is deliciously intoxicating! Here's an easy way to grill your steak, whether it is t-bone, ribeye (my favorite), or even just sirloin, and have it taste like it just came from the kitchen of a steakhouse restaurant.

  1. Take your steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature, no more than about 20 minutes.

  2. Using approximately 1 rounded tablespoon of my Grizzly Espresso Steak Rub per pound of meat, coat the entire steak, including the edges, and gently rub it into the surface of the steak with your fingers.

  3. Get your grill fired up on “High”. (Make sure the grill surface has been cleaned from previous use, please!)

  4. As soon as your grill is ready, place your steak on to cook. For medium rare, let it grill about 4 minutes. It should be warm and have nice charred grill marks on the grilled side. Gently flip your steak and let it cook another 4 minutes. Adjust cooking times by 1 – 2 minutes per side if you want it more rare or more well done.

  5. VERY IMPORTANT! After removing your steak from the grill, let it “rest” for 5 minutes, to reabsorb its delicious juices, before cutting into it.

  6. Enjoy!
